Yellow Dot Could Save Your Life

Thanks to Bob Stump for submitting this information. An easy and free way to be more prepared for an emergency.

From an article in the Clipper March 8, 2012

Yellow Dot Could Help Save a Life
Having a Simple yellow dot affixed to the rear of your car may save a life.
The sticker alerts emergency medical service personnel to check the glove box compartment. Participants should have completed a yellow form that includes emergency contact information, hospital preference, medical conditions, surgeries, allergies, current medications and physicians.
Under this free program, people are asked to get enough forms to include everyone who may be riding in the vehicle.
Having such information on hand can save several minutes of valuable time in treating accident victims. Even if they’re not unconscious, they may not be able to respond to questions.
The program is especially useful for passengers with diabetes, heart transplants or on blood thinners, but it is encouraged for everybody.
Rhonda Parker is the yellow dot coordinator for the state of Utah. For more information and to obtain Yellow Dot materials at no cost, email:
rhondaparker@utah.gov or call 801 366 6043 please include your address and the number of vehicles you own with the request.
